Satoyama Initiative

Satoyama Initiative is a site commissioned by the Japanese Ministry of Environment to promote and share information regarding the conserving of human-influenced natural environments. The site has been built using Wordpress in both Japanese and English and has several custom plug-ins to allow meeting content to be uploaded and sorted, Google maps to be used within case studies and Google calendar for members to share schedules. Most of the work was focused on the back end to enable regular staff to update and maintain the site without assistant from web designers or developers.

OurWorld 2.0

OurWorld 2.0 is a web magazine run by the United Nations University. Co-design credit goes to David Jimenez. OurWorld 2.0 is built on Wordpress blog CMS software and features a number of different custom plug-ins to achieve the look and functionality.
Ourworld 2.0 is produced in English and Japanese.
The OurWorld 2.0 site won best designed web blog of 2008.

Zipang

Zipang is a Japanese Music community. The site allows users to customize and share their listening experience with other members as well as purchase music, create play lists and stream music.
Project included brand design / guidelines, interface design, icon design, site architecture and template production.

Online Learning

Online Learning is the United Nations University’s Online Learning showcase for the UNU Media Studio.
The site features all projects built by the media studio team.
The site, created using Wordpress, was built with a custom plug-in to allow the dynamic switching of languages while using the same site and database. Requirements included design, art direction, plug-in design, content production and project management.

MEKAS

Mekas, Japan’s premier business fashion site was designed specifically to function as close to a magazine as possible both from a reader and publishing perspective. The design not only featured a 2 column layout with pages that “turned” but also featured a custom back end which facilitated the easy publishing, scheduling and management of articles and slide shows without the help of web experts. Mekas was designed with the content as the focus and user experience as the goal.

Responsibilities included all photography, art direction and site maintenance.

Ridge Racer 7

Ridge Racer 7 for Bandai Namco / Sony Playstaion 3 platform. Project was an in game animation explaining how the game is played. Tasks included 120 seconds of full HD animation.
Multiple versions for multiple languages.
All graphic design, compositing, 3d and 2d animation.

Ridge Racer 7 E3 Promo

Ridge Racer 7 promo for E3 for the then yet to be released Playstation 3. Project required 80 seconds of full HD (1080p) animation with hundreds of full HD video’s composited within.
Project was completed in Maya.

Ridge Racer Xbox 360

Ridge Racer Xbox 360 – Game rules animation for Bandi Namco. Animation was built and designed in Maya, After Effects and Digital Fusion at 720p.
Game was a hardware launch title.

Ridge Racer PSP

Ridge racer for PlayStation Portable was a hardware launch title that, at the time even impressed the Sony executives with it’s performance.

The project involved conceptualizing the actually game concept as well as design, animation and compositing of the in-game game system.

R-Racing Evolution

R-Racing Evolution was a new racing game introduced by Namco for the PS2, Xbox and GameCube platforms.
The Project was the opening animation for the game and included all editing, compositing, graphic design, production and animation.
